Session One (With Miss Crone)
Who do you think is on the front cover of the novel? How old do you think he is and why? Simon because can see him in his wheel chair.
How is the boy feeling and why? Sad because he has just found out that he only has a year to live. What do you think the title means? At the end of the year when simon's nearly dead its time for his best friend Nathan to say "See Ya Simon". Turn over the page read the blurb on the back What is muscular dystrophy? It is a disorder that weakens your muscles. Who is Nathan? Simon's best friend. Now write a paragraph telling me what you think the story is going to be all about? I think as time goes on simon is going to get upset and do some bad teenage things. It will be interesting to read I think it will be sad at times and truthful. So far its a good book so I think it will be a excellent rest of the bookI'm predicting most of the book will be based on Simon and Nathan having a great time

Find the simile on the first page. Nelita who works through jokes lie our dog works through a plate of jellimeat. Why was the soccer ball well-trained? Because when the ball got kicked the ball landed in his lap. What did Haare do when he saw Simon coming towards him? He jumped out of his way Why do you think Simon was playing goalie? Because he couldn't tackle the ball.
Why has Simon got a new wheelchair? Because his bones are getting weaker. Who does Nathan have a crush on? Nelita “Simon looked fragile” What does fragile mean? Something that is easily damaged. How much longer does Simon have to live? 1 year. How do you think Simon reacts to his illness? To me he acts just like a normal child. Session Three Read Chapter Two then answer the following questions Nathan is told to behave like a ʻcivilised human beingʼ. What does ʻcivilisedʼ mean? A normal child. Why does Nathan say his dog has no concern for the environment? Because he pees under every tree. Tuesday 24 May 2011 How does Nathan feel about his sister? He doesn't like her and he has even threatened to break every bone in her body if she touches his books. What is muscular dystrophy? It's a disorder that weaken your muscles.
